Following on from the fantastic success of last year, this years event will take a similar format but promises to be even more magical! Arrive at the magical North Pole where you will be greeted by our friendly Elves and check-in! Collect your Christmas passport and get the stamps as you journey through their Christmas experience.

This years event will be bigger and better then ever before. Once again we will have the Farmers Market set-up on the Town Square, stalls lining Fore Street, Father Christmas and live entertainment. There really is no better place to kick start your Christmas shopping on Saturday 4th December…
Stallholders came from across Devon to sell hot food and gifts ranging from metal garden ornaments to Salcombe Gin, soaps to crepes, and hog roasts to Christmas puddings.
Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market

This year’s Exeter Christmas Market on Cathedral Green will run from Saturday 16th November until Thursday 19th December, it is organised by Exeter Cathedral.
The bustling and ever-popular market supports many local businesses and performers, with an exciting mix of continental and local, independent traders, showcasing the best of festive food, drink, crafts and gifts.
2019’s Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market promises to be better than ever with more stalls for local businesses and another drinks outlet where visitors can buy mulled wine, cider and gin. A Mulled Wine Shack selling hot toddies and mulled wine from a giant teepee tent – complete with a roaring fire – will be run by Oddfellows, who also run the big main bar.
Adding to the twinkly lights which give the magical Bavarian village its winter wonderland feel, there will be an enormous illuminated Christmas star suspended above the main frontage of the Cathedral for the very first time. The star measures three metres by four metres and it will hang above the West front on the main square.
Throughout the 34 days of the Christmas Market the Cathedral itself will be offering free entry to encourage people at the Christmas market to also take a look inside – Exeter Cathedral has the longest stretch of vaulted ceiling in the world and is certainly worth a visit!
2021 Train of Lights
Paignton – Dartmouth Steam Railway
Dates: From 24th November – 30th December
Your festive illuminated journey starts at Queen’s Park Station, Paignton, where your train with vintage carriages await you – decorated with thousands of lights, both inside and out.
Fifteen minutes later, once you’ve had time to settle back into your seat, you will arrive at Churston Station where the show begins. As the anticipation builds and minutes after leaving Churston, you will be propelled through the 450-metre Greenway tunnel that leads you to the enchanted forest which will be transformed by a multitude of lights with brand new feature displays plus some old favourites!
The stunning show ends as you leave the forest only to be greeted by the twinkling lights of Dartmouth reflected on the river Dart. After a turnaround at Kingswear and with the opportunity to disembark and take photographs from the platform, you will be on your way back to Paignton to experience the spectacle from a different direction.?
