Travelling to Riverside Lodge
Riverside Lodge is located in a rural area with limited access to public transport. To make the most of your holiday you ideally need your own vehicle.
Exeter Airport is an hour away.
Bristol Airport is an hour and half away.
Regular trains from London (3 hours 15 mins) and the rest of the UK to Totnes (half an hours drive away).
Car hire is advised if you arrive in Devon by public transport.
Directions to Riverside Lodge
- From M5 continue South on A38 past Exeter and towards Plymouth. 25 miles south of Exeter take the exit that directs you to Kingsbridge (Dartington and Staverton also appear).
- At the top of the slip take the left to Kingsbridge, Dartington, Totnes.
- Continue on to Dartington, passing the Cider Press Centre on your left. Turn left at the roundabout. After passing the school, keep right and turn right turn at the traffic lights to Kingsbridge.
- Head up the hill towards Kingsbridge and pass through the villages of Harbetonford and Halwell.
- Pass BP garage on your left and look out for the left turn to East Allington and Slapton (it is on a sharp bend). Take the left turn – you are on Five Mile Lane.
- 4.7 miles along take the left turn for Gara Mill – this is Buckland Cross – do not turn before.
- Pass Buckland Court on your left and keep following the lane as it narrows and dips down the valley. Turn left just before the bridge and park up!
